TIFFA - A scan that Rules Out Fetal Anomalies
Why is TIFFA scan important?
Targeted Imaging for Fetal Anomalies (TIFFA) Scan examines both the internal and external anatomy of the fetus. It helps rule out defects, chromosomal abnormalities, and genetic syndrome.
This scan helps in ruling out structural abnormalities that can cause physical or mental limitation in the baby.
During this scan, the Sonologist looks out for a list of conditions and rule out most of the conditions as the vast majority of babies are born healthy.
